Proton therapy system is a huge, complex and very precise facility of high technique. It occupied a length of 70 meters area. The core equipment is cyclotron for producing high energy proton beam. The diameter of the magnet is 434 cm, the weight of cyclotron is 220 ton. The energy of proton beam is up to 230 MeV, which can reach any tumor site in human body.

During the treatment, proton beam is transferred to a special treatment room and enter into the Gantry. The Gantry is a huge device which occupies 3 floors space. It can rote around isocenter 360 degrees and access to patient from any direction freely with very high precision.

Generally, the treatment is implemented on a positioning table. Positioning table is a special robot which can move patient precisely to treatment position. Together with Gantry, the very accurate treatment is realized.

Aiming for optimal dose distribution, proton beams are carefully integrated according to the practical situation of the treatment to meet the requirement of treatment. Hence, proton facility is also equipped with beam modulation and switching system. In addition, safety and control system are integrated into the proton facility to make the system operation precise and reliable, and assure patient and staff safety.
